Southport is widely regarded 'England's Golfing Capital' with seven championship courses including Royal Birkdale, which recently hosted The Open in July 2008. The town is at the centre of 'England's Golf Coast' and over twenty courses including the '3 Royals' can be reached in under an hour.

Add to this a vibrant and exciting night-life and some of the most scenic parks and gardens you're ever likely to visit and you'll appreciate why Southport is indeed England's Classic Resort.

England's Golf Coast is home to Aintree Race Course and the Grand National, as well as Haydock Park and Chester Race Courses. There are also several premiere league football clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester United, Everton, Manchester City and Blackburn.
